Factions Return!
Factions have returned to Destiny 2. Arach Jalaal(Dead Orbit), Lakshmi-2(Future War Cult), and Executor Hideo(New Monarchy) have all returned from Destiny 1 to the Tower. This Reset the Faction Rallies begin, players will have the opportunity to pledge their loyalty to one of the three Factions per character. Each Faction is recruiting Guardians to gather resources for it's cause. Guardians will earn Faction Tokens by gathering supplies and destroying enemy resources. These Tokens can also be earned by completing public events, Strikes, Lost Sectors, the Raid, and in the Crucible. Simply by playing the game, players will earn Faction Tokens , and gain rewards from that Factions generous loot pool. On October 3rd, the faction whose Guardians collect the most faction packages will be declared the winner. Each Faction set aside a powerful weapon to be purchased from them to entice players to choose their Faction. The weapons will be offered to everyone, but those in the winning Faction will get the weapon at the heavy discounted price as a reward for their contributions. Guided Games-Nightfall & Raid
Guided Games for the Raid will become available for seekers seeking clans to show them the mysteries of the Leviathan Raid on Tuesday, September 26th. Guided Games was introduced just over a week ago for Nightfalls, and has seen a positive reception to this new feature in Destiny 2. Whether your a seeker or a clan, Guided Games has opened a door for players to reach out to one another in the community. Inviting solo players to join an affiliated clan in activities such as Nightfalls, and the Raid. When both a Seeker, and the Guide join a Guided Game, they agree to be Helpful, Observant, Attentive, and Willing to Learn and Teach as well as be Friendly. This is the Guardian Oath, completing a Guided Game with your Seeker will increase your Oathkeepers Score. Nightfall- The Pyramidion
This weeks Nightfall, the Pyramidion is one of the more difficult Strikes in Destiny 2. Make your way to the structure, you will find a group of Vex waiting for you. Quickly take them out, continue down into the structure. Next you will come to a group of Taken at the bottom near a circular doorway with lasers crossing it. Make your way through the corridors with the lasers, beware of the lasers as they deal a ton of damage if you should touch one. Once you make it out of the lasers alive you will have to activate three alters by standing on them, as you and your fire-team fight off waves of enemies. After activating all three make your way to an area with four towers, use your Ghost to hack each one of the towers. After beginning the hack on the first tower, Taken will spawn, you will have to fight through the Taken till all four towers are completed. With all four towers hacked, enter the conduit and jump down into the chasm to summon the Genesis Mind.
The Genesis Mind when he spawns in, gives an opportunity to deal some good damage to him. As the fight progresses the Genesis Mind will call for reinforcements as he begins to teleport around the area, and fire shots. When the Mind teleports it will leave a window to concentrate your fire at him, after he fires his weapon. Concentrate your fire, and take it down, then grab your loot. One strategy we used was one Guardian controlled the enemy reinforcements while three concentrated fire at the Genesis Mind.
Flashpoint-IO
The Flashpoint this week is on IO, change Public Events into Heroic Events on this world to summon a secret world Boss on IO. Keep track of your progress by looking at your Milestone menu in the director, once it reaches 100% the world Boss will spawn at the end of the next Heroic Event.
