Destiny Tracker Podcast! The creative minds of the content creators at Destiny Tracker.com, the incredible site for amazing statistics for your characters in Destiny along with news and everything Destiny 2, have brought their amazing creativity to the next level. Each week members of the DTR family and the Destiny community come together to discuss news, stats, and how their week was in Destiny 2. Along with humorous conversation there will be an entertaining spin on the Price is Right based around what weapons got the most kills and how many kills for each weapon in Trials of the Nine that past week. The podcast has grown over the last year with every episode being better than the last, finding there groove that stands with the others in the vastly growing Destiny community.

In Episode 48 the DTR podcast and the Destiny community were graced by a special guest appearence on the show by the extremely talented voice actor Neil Kaplan. Neil Kaplans' talents over the years have compiled an immense list of voice roles in video games, movies and shows. One of his more recent roles was assisting in giving a voice to the lead protagonist in Destiny 2, Ghaul. Ghaul, the leader of the Red Legion of the Cabal, attacks the Tower to capture the Traveler to steal the power of the light for himself. enter image description here the character Ghaul voiced by Neil Kaplan

It was a fantastic opportunity to be the first podcast of Guardians in the community to speak with Neil and ask some questions. Diving right in after the new intro to the podcast, our DTR content manager Jay introduced our cast Danfinity, JRAM, Reythos and our guest Neil Kaplan.

Neil Kaplans' sense of humor makes him a delight to speak with. The conversation was very engaging as he answered questions and gave a few gimpses inside what he does for a living. His talents for voices were showcased throughout the podcast as he made subtle references to other characters he's played over the years. When cohost JRAM asked what his first character voice was, Neil responded by saying what it was and by impersonating the voice of Donald Duck with a line from Ghaul in Destiny 2. Neil is a true professional and master of his craft. He explained what it's like as a voice actor going to auditions and what goes into creating a characters voice, which was a treat for everyone. Jay asked "What was your favorite Ghaul line?". Neil responded with, "Some lines stick with you as a voice actor, from the characters you've played", he then delivered the line in the voice of Ghaul, "you have merely forgot the fear of death!". He then explained, that line really jumped off the page and stuck with him as one of the most memorable lines he's had in a long time. Reythos had asked, "How does it feel to be cast as a villain, being your rolls come more from the heroic side?". Neil gave a reply with a smile on his face, "Playing a villain is just fun!", giving the explanation playing a villain allows someone to really play with a role and have fun. He then ended the session with a very entertaining Venom impersonation.

The atmosphere of the show had everyone upbeat and entertained. Neil provided his sense of humor, which kept everyone engaged. The show moved along smoothly and everyone got a chance to ask a question. Neil Kaplan responded to every question elaborately to give listeners an in-depth look at what he does as a career, and how much fun he has with it.
