Weekend Breakdown November 3-7, 2017* Written by Avgjoe227 enter image description here Xur Xur returns this week setting up shop in the Winding Cove on the EDZ ( *European Dead Zone). To find his location use the world map and look for Xurs' symbol on the map marking his location. Each week Xur returns to sell Exotic items to Guardians from Friday early morning til reset Tuesday. Each Exotic can be purchased with Legendary Shards that can be earned in game or by breaking down Legendary items in your inventory. Xur's inventory usually has a Exotic weapon and a Exotic armor piece for each class of Guardian. enter image description here This week Xurs' inventory consists of the following : - Graviton Lance, Pulse Rifle - 29 Legendary Shards - Young Ahamkara's Spine, Hunter Gauntlets - 23 Legendary Shards - Mask of the Quiet One, Titan Helmet - 23 Legendary Shards - Nezarec's Sin, Warlock Helmet - 23 Legendary Shards It should be noted the items Xur sells each week comes at power level of 270. Each having a base power level of 265 with a Legendary mod raising the item 5 levels to 270. Trials of the Nine has returned finally!. After being missed by many Guardian's for the last couple weeks, Trials has returned with fixes to an exploit and is ready to welcome Guardians back into the weekend-only competitive PvP mode. Trials of the Nine is a highly competitive Crucible game mode, returning weekly from Friday through reset early Tuesday morning. Trials in Destiny 2 has rotating game modes each week, testing each teams skills with the ultimate goal of ascending the mysterious Third Spire of the Nine and the rewards awaiting them. enter image description here Trials of the Nine this week takes place on Javelin-4 located on the planet IO, and the game mode is Survival. In Survival each team has limited respawns in a shared lives pool and must win multiple rounds to win. This map has a center ring where every revolves around it, meaning many fire fights will take place either in the center or down one of the outside lanes on the perimeter of the map. This map is also excellent for executing flanks down the many side hallways and entries. An ideal weapon load out for this map would include a solid mid-long range weapon with a close-mid range secondary. Utilize good team shooting and use map awareness to execute flanks to make short work of taking out the enemy team. This announcement came from Sony's Paris Games Week, and has the community falling out of their seats with excitement. Revealing a teaser trailer for the expansion and also a list of things coming with the expansion, for a full breakdown of the DLC reveal check it out here at destinytracker.com. Bungie also announced they will be holding three separate Twitch livestreams during the month of November to "unpack" some of the goodies coming in Curse of Osiris. Your efforts in game will determine which faction is crowned the winner and given the right to sell their weapon as an additional reward. New weapons and gear for each faction is making its way next week with a new weapon up for grabs for the winning faction. Tim Williams from Bungie had this to say "During the first Faction Rallies, we had a chance to learn a lot about how the activities motivated gameplay. We looked at the time invested compared to the rewards and made the following adjustments": Faction Rallies - Strikes now reward faction tokens at a range of 5 to 9 faction tokens per completion (up from 3 to 7) - Nightfall now rewards 10 to 18 faction tokens on first completion per character - Completing Heroic Public Events now rewards 5 faction tokens (down from 8) - Destroying enemy resources no longer rewards faction tokens - Opening Lost Sector Chests now rewards 3 faction tokens for each fireteam member "Strikes should feel more worthy of the time you invest in them. We noticed that players felt Lost Sectors were useful, but disliked the fact that they couldn’t enjoy them with a fireteam, so we moved the faction tokens from the destructible items to the chest at the end of the activity. The destructibles will still be featured as a daily milestone and are still available to help your fireteam clear out the Lost Sector".
