Community Content Creator Spotlight Featuring : JDenn70910
The Destiny community is full of talented Guardians. The Content Creators are a huge part of the community and put so much time and effort into bringing something special to the community. DTR (destiny tracker) wants to shine a spotlight on some of the content creators in the community to recognize them for all the hard work they do, day in and day out, on stream and in the community. This week our Spotlight goes out to a Content Creator that has been playing Destiny since the Dark Below DLC and had this to say about his history of gaming leading into decovering the world of Destiny " I had been out of console gaming since 2004- Halo 2 was one of the last console game I remember buying and playing- I had been solely PC gaming since then. A ton of coworkers were talking about this new IP from bungie saying how great the beta was. Almost every day it was Destiny this or Destiny that. I had maintained if Destiny was on PC I would have picked it up in a heartbeat, but I didn’t want to buy a console just for one game. I watched some YouTube videos and really liked the way the game looked. It was the perfect blend of FPS, RPG and looter. A store was running some special on PS4 so I picked it up and started playing. I started playing in ‘secret’ and wasn’t really enjoying the game, but I was doing it solo. I told my coworkers I got the game. They gave me some crap for ‘converting’ to a console gamer (thumb sticks still feel weird to me) but started playing with me and I fell in love with the game. I kept playing long after most of them moved on to other games". JDenn70910 is an incredible Content Creator and is a master of the GIF if you follow his Twitter social page. From the beginning he main's both Titan and Warlock class Guardians while playing Destiny, and even though Hunters are "squishy" he enjoys spamming a tether super in public events. Asking JDenn70910 who inspired him to start streaming he replied saying " After most of my coworkers/clan moved on to other games I started looking for new people to play with. I LFGed for a while, but eventually turned to twitch. I was after the one thing on my destiny bucket list that everyone wanted: Flawless. I came across a great bunch of people that started as Sherpas but became friends and inspires to stream and model myself after. Even if they are doing other games they’re the people that I want to associate with (in real life and online): Puban_Games, HeyitsDT, 3vil_Aura". Tuning into JDenn70910 streams he is always very pleasant and inviting and his logo is modeled after Tron which come on, is pretty awesome in its self. During Destiny 1 JDenn70910 had put in thousands of hours playing the game and continues to play D2 but has branched off into other games as well, " I love the Fallout, Mass Effect, and Elder Scrolls series. I just picked up The Division after hearing that the game has reinvented itself". Asking JDenn70910 who created his logo for him and also what is his favorite part of the Destiny community he replied saying " All of my work was done by a friend rock imrocknotyou ( you can find them on Twitter). It’s the extremes this community has, both positive and negatives. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bunch of gamers as passionate about a game as destiny from the hype I see in twitch chats after a virgin finally goes flawless for the first time, raising over a million dollars for St Jude’s or being hyper critical of a game we love because we know it can be better".
The Community is fortunate to have Content Creators in it like JDenn70910, who help bring something special with each stream and piece of content that its inspiring to others for how much good it does it in the community with bringing joy to someones day and enjoying those in your community in the chats. JDenn70910 has a love for the communities Artists and all the incredible work they all create each day, asking him if he had a favorite Artist he responded saying " There are so many talented artists- I’m a big fan Marksquare- I’ve got a couple of his prints that I need to frame and hang. I also love AlisiaRose but don’t have any of her work". Our community would not be where it is today without the amazing Content Creators and Artists in the community today, we are all truly grateful for everything they all do day in and day out. With starting his stream from scratch and growing to where he is today i asked JDenn70910 what advice he would give to someone else in the community with an interest in beginning their own stream, JDenn replied with " Find friends and collaborate/co-stream with other growing channels on twitch. Talking to yourself when there is nobody is in chat to talk to feels strange. Having someone in game with you gives you someone to talk to so there isn’t any dead air. Expect to fail. Streaming isn’t easily but is still a ton of fun". With streaming its mostly about the fun of it rather than the fame of it, and JDenn shows with every stream he does that he enjoys every minute of streaming whether there is no one at all or a hundred people watching, he does it for the enjoyment of creating something for people to enjoy. It was truly an honor to get the chance to Spotlight JDenn70910, getting to know more about him and how much he enjoys doing what he does. Lastly I asked JDenn what do u hope to accomplish this year as a content creator and what are his favorite movies, smiling he replied " Continue to grow, foster new relationships and friendships". " I am fan of classics like On the Water front or Citizen Cane as well as cheesy comedies like Cool Runnings, Captain Ron, or anything with Adam Sandler".
